We knew what the anniversary needed to say. I proposed the Video that would tell it.
ChicoBag turned twenty in 2025, and we planned the anniversary around Earth Day. We wanted to mark the milestone and remind people why the company exists, but no one had decided what it should be. I proposed a film made from the archive. Andy Keller, Nathan Rinehart, and I worked out the story beats together. Andy recorded the narration. I designed, animated, and edited the video.

not sure what does here
I storyboarded the video before opening After Effects, working out the order of the scenes and how one would move into the next. Once Andy recorded the narration, I treated that timing as fixed. Some sections moved faster than I had planned, including a product sequence I wanted to run longer, so I compressed it to stay with his delivery.
The archive covered twenty years. Some early photos were tiny or tightly cropped. One moment had expedition footage, the next had a single photograph or an old logo. I used a rough editorial collage treatment to give all of it one visual home without pretending the source material matched.

Parts of the story only survived as web articles and press screenshots. If I dropped them straight in, they would have looked like screenshots, so I rebuilt them as torn-paper fragments and animated those into the sequence.
